Entrepreneurial Meteorology
A subfield of meteorology focused on the innovation of weather/climate services and products, and turning them into a viable business.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects jobs in the atmospheric sciences to grow 8% over the next 10 years. Budgetary constraints will limit government and academic positions, so most of these jobs will be in private industry.
After seeing the growing need, Morgan Yarker, PhD, CCM and Michel dos Santos Mesquita, PhD coined the term entrepreneurial meteorology to address the growing weather and climate workforce needs.
In this video, Morgan Yarker, PhD, CCM explains Entrepreneurial Meteorology. If you are interested in more information about EntreMet, please visit the Yarker Consulting blog for latest news and updates.
